Three years ago, we set out on an audacious mission: to reinvent banking for the South Florida community. We believed a bank could be more than a transaction—it could be a trusted partner, a guide, and a champion for local businesses.

On January 12, 2025, I’m proud to share two monumental milestones: it’s Locality Bank’s 3rd birthday, and we’ve officially exited de novo status—a designation given to newly chartered banks during their first few years of operation.

What This Means for Our Community

Exiting de novo status is more than just a regulatory milestone—it’s a testament to the trust and partnership we’ve built together. It means we’re no longer the “new kids on the block.” Over these three years, we’ve grown stronger, learned from every interaction, and refined how we serve.

How Far We’ve Come

Together, we’ve achieved incredible growth, proving that local businesses thrive with the right support:

• $35 million to nearly $300 million in assets, showing the strength of our community.
• Over $200 million in loans provided to local businesses, helping them expand, hire, and achieve their dreams.
• $250 million in deposits and nearly $40 million in capital from local residents, funding loans and powering the bank’s operations.

These milestones are not just numbers—they represent the businesses, dreams, and opportunities we’ve had the privilege to support.
