Rebuilt, Then Expanded: Bryan Vreeland on Betting on Yourself
Bryan Vreeland, Founder & CEO of LS Global Group
Most founders have a private moment where confidence wobbles. The mirror question shows up: Is this going to work?
Bryan Vreeland knows that moment well.
He was born and raised in Broward County, attended American Heritage, and earned a degree in general business administration from Florida State. After college, he worked in restaurants before landing his first corporate role at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where he learned fast: operations, people leadership, and how to build a culture. He later moved into sales at ADP, then found his stride in recruiting at Robert Half Technology.
Not long after, Bryan and his wife Jackie had their second child, and he felt the pull to bet on himself. He told Jackie he wanted to start a recruiting and IT staffing business. Bryan shared that his parents were understandably nervous about the timing, with two kids and a mortgage, but Jackie supported the leap, in part because her role at Ultimate Software meant the family benefits were covered.
In 2017, Bryan launched his company, starting from scratch. Out of respect for Robert Half, he did not take any client data and built his book the hard way through cold calls and networking. The first year was lean, with only a few clients and just enough revenue to get by. Then two large opportunities hit, and the business scaled quickly.
Next came the reset. Bryan shared that COVID dropped him from more than 100 resources to zero in a matter of weeks as clients froze spending. The staffing side eventually rebounded, but the shock pushed him to expand his model. He proposed running an end-to-end HR operation for a client he had already served, covering everything from recruiting to offboarding, which became his first Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) opportunity. Over time, he built offshore capabilities in Latin America and later opened operations in Europe.
Today, Bryan says the company runs lean on the corporate side while supporting a few hundred offshore resources across Latin America and Europe. He also described creating a technology arm, LS Technologies, focused on process automation so clients can scale without simply adding more headcount.
Looking back, that early moment still lingers. That mirror question still shows up: is this going to work?
Bryan’s story doesn’t pretend it does. It shows what happens next.
The founders who make it aren’t the ones who avoid doubt. They’re the ones who push through it, keep building, and refuse to go back.
